my kinda painting!

i'm sure you know by now that i have a hard time with painting.  it requires my full attention and LOTS of clean up!  but tempera paint cakes are my speed and bowie is getting the hang of using them.

i tried another idea from meri cherry's "play make create" book.  i drew lots of circles on paper to let bowie color mix.  she has done a lot of experimenting with color mixing in other activities, but this time she just wanted to paint.  at first i only put out her neon colors, but she really wanted to paint with black paint.  then she started to paint her fingers and make finger prints, which ended up painting her whole hand and making hand prints.
