fall decorations...

just because halloween is over, doesn't mean it is time to put away the pumpkins.  it is acceptable to keep the fall decorations up through thanksgiving.  here is an easy, inexpensive and elegant pumpkin decoration.

i got this idea from my friend mitzi, who had these in her home and learned this technique at a d.i.y (do it yourself) party.  she bought fake pumpkins at the craft store and spray painted them gold.  then added brass thumb tacks to make patterns on them.

i love how you can use these from year to year and pull them out for halloween and thanksgiving.
