because i am lazy, i wanted to choose a color pallet that would go all year round, and have a "beachy" feel to it. i went to the craft store and browsed the felt section and this is what i came up with.
these are the supplies you will need for this project:
~wreath
~hot glue gun and glue
~4-5 pieces of felt in different colors
~scissors
~pearl tipped sewing pins
~sea shells and ribbon (optional)
the best way to start this project is to lay out all of your felt and cut them into different size circles. this is the first step in making your flowers.
start cutting a spiral into the circle...
to make the flower, start at the smallest part of the spiral and wrap the felt around and around, using a hot glue gun to keep the felt in place...
continue this process with all of your felt, so that you end up with a variety of flowers in different colors and sizes.
then lay out your wreath and start playing around with the design. i incorporated some sea shells into mine, and am on the hunt for some peacock feathers to add at a later time.
use a hot glue gun to secure your felt flowers, and place pearl pins in the middle to create the centers. this is my finished project.
