play dough invitation with pasta and straws!

i like to have a invitation to play when bowie gets home from school and this is what i set up for her yesterday.  took me 30 seconds to whip this one up and she played with it for a solid 30 minutes or so.

set up a tray with play dough, spaghetti pasta and beads or cut straws.

the idea is that they can "lace" the straws for good fine motor practice or build something by connecting the pasta with play dough.

bowie strung the beads onto the long pieces of pasta and then got creative making some play dough creatures! (alien, octopus and hedgehog)

look at that concentration!
